The Foundation organizes cultural events, such as concerts, exhibitions and performances, whose aim is to promote Polish culture, at home and abroad.

One of the Foundation’s goals is to promote patriotic attitudes, especially among the young generation of Poles.

We have been protecting children from violence and sexual abuse for over 30 years. We provide children and their caregivers with support, professional psychological and legal assistance and care. We teach adults how to wisely and effectively respond to violence against children and what to do when they suspect that a child is being abused. We support and engage parents to raise their children with love and respect. We influence Polish law so that it protects the best interests of the child. Every child deserves a childhood free from violence!

The BDFA’s mission is to enable everyone who is affected by Batten disease to live life to the full and secure the care and support they need until we find a cure.

The BDFA offers informed guidance and supports families and professionals who work with them as well as actively increasing awareness of the disease and funding future research to identify potential therapies and ultimately a range of cures.

The BDFA works across the rare disease sector to influence change in policy and processes as a collective voice.

A parent never imagines their child will be diagnosed with a life limiting or life threatening condition. But when the unimaginable happens, Acorns steps in, helping families cope at every stage of their child’s life and beyond, wherever and whenever they need it. The need for children’s hospice care never stops which is why we are here to provide specialist palliative care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

At Acorns our dedicated team offers psychological, emotional and practical support. Our team of health and social care professionals provide a range of services, including bereavement support and advocacy, as well as a number of dedicated support groups, helping to reduce the isolation some families can face.

At Acorns we understand that family time is precious when a child’s life is limited, and we support families in any way we can to create lasting memories.

Our tailored care includes complex medical care, emergency and end of life care, short breaks and emotional and practical support. Every family is different, which is why our holistic package of care is tailored to meet the individual needs of each child and family, including cultural, religious and spiritual needs.

The Spanish Red Cross helps people in need during emergencies, conflicts and disasters. We focus on emergency response, volunteer assistance, first aid at events, first aid training, and assisted self-reliance. We also work on ‘tracing and support’ by restoring family links, provide war aftercare and we support victims of human trafficking. Our final focus is on increasing respect and willingness to help.

Our team of trustees work hard to ensure we reach out to support as many women (and men) as we can who are diagnosed with breast cancer.

We offer life-long peer group support and aim to become part of your tools for coping, we are here no matter where you are on your breast cancer journey.

Research shows that stress and anxiety related to a breast cancer diagnosis can be reduced with proper social support whilst also increasing quality of life.

Every day of every year, thousands of young people in the UK find themselves homeless. Many are forced to sleep in overcrowded hostels, on the sofas of people they barely know, or worse still, on the streets. Yet homelessness isn’t inevitable. It’s a problem that can be solved.

With the right support services and secure accommodation, we can prevent young people from becoming homeless and protect those who are. Unfortunately, it’s not that simple. Rising rents and reductions in benefit payments have had a negative impact on the country’s most vulnerable young people and organisations delivering critical services are struggling with an increase in demand. They desperately need investment to reach more young people.

That’s why we’re here. For over 30 years we have been bringing together remarkable businesses and individuals from across the property industry to support projects that provide life-changing accommodation for young people facing homelessness.

We believe every patient deserves a childhood, which is why we always strive to do more for sick kids.

Our hospital is a leading, specialist paediatric centre, delivering some of the most advanced treatments, complex surgical procedures and cutting-edge research to over 100,000 children and young people from across the UK and beyond.

Every patient and family benefits from our charity, but the impact of fundraising is much more than purely financial. It makes a real difference to the spaces, treatment and equipment we provide to children and their families.

The children’s welfare center based in Düsseldorf Pempelfort is a facility run by the municipal youth welfare office, which provides a home for more than 100 children and young people.

The aim is to support families who, due to individual, societal or social stress, cannot adequately provide for their children or their development health is at risk. The specialist knowledge and experience of the local staff is intended to strengthen the self-confidence of children, young people and families. You should be with the development of their personality and the design of a self-determined life.

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future.

As a Society, we are made up of people with dementia, carers, trusted experts, campaigners, researchers and clinicians. We are the UK’s largest collective force of people with unparalleled knowledge and over 40 years of experience addressing the biggest challenges facing people living with dementia.

Our aim is to provide support to children suffering from life-threatening illnesses and their families in the UK.

In an unimaginably difficult situation, we hope to make the dark days a little brighter.

Our main areas of work are:

• Fulfilling wishes by providing gifts to individual children.
• Donating our therapeutic toy Olly The Brave and his story books.
• Bespoke projects such as funding a Paediatric Palliative Care Consultant, and the furnishing of the Magnolia House palliative care facility, at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.
• We also run support events for families of seriously ill children including afternoon teas where families can meet and share experiences, an annual ‘Remember Me’ day for families.

We work for a society that promotes mental well-being. A society where people with mental health problems and psychiatric diagnoses are respected, get the support they need and where no one takes their own life.

We believe that our most important role, as an independent non-profit association, is to both be a voice in the social debate, and at the same time to be able to close the gaps in the public safety net.

We spread knowledge about mental illness and suicide. We organize seminars, conferences, trainings and spread information about mental illness and suicide.

We support people who have thoughts of suicide. We operate the Suicide Line, on phone 90101, email and chat around the clock, for people who can no longer bear to live and their relatives.

We support older adults who are mentally unwell. We run the Elderly Line, a support line for older people who need someone to talk to.

We support young people who need someone to talk to. We run Livslinjen, a support line where people between 16 and 25 can talk to an adult about things in life that feel troublesome. Big or small.

We support parents who are worried about their children. We run the Parents’ Line, a support line for adults who are worried about children in their vicinity and want someone to talk to.

We create forums where people who feel bad can support each other. We run Mind Forum, an online discussion forum where you can talk about life exactly as it is.
